Aims and scope
Our mission is to promote multidisciplinary academic and applied research written by international authors and of interest to the global audience.
We invite submission of abstracts and papers discussing the issues broadly related to all areas of business and social science. Specifically, we are interested in learning about trends in global business, economic, political, geopolitical, social, and cultural issues, as well as new technologies, scientific developments, energy and broader sustainability issues. All these macro issues directly or indirectly affect financial markets, thus, the Macrotheme Conference is essentially a multidisciplinary conference on fundamentally based global investing.

Finance (Investments, Corporate Finance, International Finance, Financial Institutions and Markets, other areas) Management (Organizational Behavior, Strategic Management, Management Theory and Practice, other areas) Marketing (Marketing Theory and Practice, International marketing, other areas) Accounting, Human Resources, International Business, Economics (macroeconomics, microeconomics, international economics), Information Technology, International issues (Asian studies, African studies, European studies), Social science (Sociology, History, Politics), Education, and Legal studies. Participants can request a special session on macro topics not listed. The common factor is: global macro themes.
Conference Chair
Dr. Damir Tokic (Ph.D. from the University of Texas – Pan American). Currently a Professor at ESC Rennes in France (AASCB). Prior, an Associate Professor at the University of Houston – Downtown, Houston, TX, USA. Published over 60 articles in top journals such as Ecological Economics, Asia Pacific Business Review, Journal of Emerging Markets, Journal of Financial Transformation, and others.
Scientific and Editorial Board
The purpose of the Macrotheme Conferences is to increase the visibility of the Macrotheme Review - a multidisciplinary journal of global macro trends. The current members of the Editorial Board can be found

The Macrotheme Review - a peer reviewed journal indexed in Google Scholar, Copernicus, and submitted for inclusion in EBSCO, Cabell's, and other databases. The first issue published in Fall 2012.
Important Dates
- Abstract submission deadline: October 20, 2014
- Full paper submission deadline for accepted abstracts: December 1, 2014 (full papers are required only if the participant wishes to publish the paper in the Macrotheme Review, otherwise the abstract is sufficient). Full papers should be emailed to editor@macrotheme.com
- Conference fees payment deadline: Novembr 4, 2014
Conference Registration Fees:
- Regular Registration Fee: €350
- Student Registration Fee: €300
- Second paper fee: €250
- E-session Registration Fee: €100
- Participating co-author: €150
- Late registration fees: €420
The conference fees include: the presentation slot at the venue, coffee break, conference lunch, conference program, and all the fees are waived for the publication in the Macrotheme Review (if applicable), for the e-session articles as well.
